“I think I just personally don't get much from Paracetamol. I've now ordered Nurofen Plus which seem to be the same sort of thing but using Ibuprofen instead. If you're a Paracetamol user, these should be great based on the number of people who I know who have used and swear by Paramol being amazing but they did less for my tooth pain than just using standard Ibuprofen tablets. So, one star from me but 5 stars from people I know so I'll settle on three. Maybe start with a smaller pack if you've not used them before and see how you get on or just try Nurofen Plus if you usually use Ibuprofen as a standard painkiller over Paracetamol.”
Hi Richard,
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review for Paramol tablets. It is great to find out that so many people you know have had such success using Paramol.
I am sorry to hear that you do not personally find a paracetamol based painkiller as effective in treating your tooth pain as an Ibuprofen based one.
I have escalated your feedback to our clinical lead for further support, who have advised that Ibuprofen has an anti-inflammatory action which paracetamol does not.
This being the case, Ibuprofen is the treatment of choice for certain conditions such as toothache and muscular injuries, where the area is usually swollen.
Our clinical team are always available and happy to help advise patients regarding different treatment options to enable our patients find the one more suitable medication for their needs and condition.
I am pleased to see that you have been able to place an order for Nurofen Plus, which contains Ibuprofen rather than paracetamol. We have reached out to you directly to check how the treatment is working for you and see if you require any additional advice or support. We look forward to hearing from you.
