“I bought this hat as a replacement for my beloved "Breezly Bruin" cap -- lost, alas, on a big and windy winter mountain in New Hampshire a month ago. And while this new lid will never never match my "Breezly" on any sentimental scale, it has, I admit, certain strengths of its own. For one, it fits very well. For another, it has a snappable brim, along with a "snugging" clip in back. Finally, it seems (I've worn it four times now, at high altitude and in all sorts of precipitation) to be waterproof, as advertised. My only "downgrade": it's not as warm as I hoped it would be, probably because 1) it's too thin (no airspace between the inner and outer layers); and/or 2) it could use -- I don't have the technical expertise to tell you exactly what it could "use," keep in mind -- another layer.”

“Not my 'go to" cap, but it folds up & I'm sure it's water proof. The ear covers or flaps bend up”

“Nothing special about this lined hat. Fleece lining and even though I ordered XL, still a bit snug”

“The XL Kirstead Blue fits perfectly and is toasty warm without being too hot. It sheds the rain and has a bill that you can fold up, if you want. I like to leave the bill down. I love the ear coverings.”
