“Needed a cold weather backcountry ski hat ! A hat that was wind proof lightly insulated,and covered ones ears. The Kirstead was perfect! It's tight enough to cover my ears at -25 on the downhill and on the climb the ear flaps fold up to cool off plus it has a visor that helps shade the eyes and folds up out of the way when wearing goggles! It's comfortable,seems well made and a great price ,a great product thanks.”

“It's perfect, a very useful hat It is very warm, stays on in windy weather and the ear flaps are excellent. It is great in the cold and wet, and a good dog walking hat!”

“This is not about the hat, which is quite satisfactory. I have written to you on 6 January (copy below) about a pair of gloves I bought before Christmas which do not perform as I expected, and I have had no response. I had hoped to be able to return them for a refund, but I am now forced to go back to GoOutdoors who have said they will give me a £10 discount. Subject: Furnace Pro gloves Message: Further to my message of 28th December, GoOutdoors have recommended that I approach you directly about this. I should like to return them for a full refund. I have bought a pair of Walpole mitts, hoping these will do the job better. I actually had some sensible advice from Outside in Hathersage, despite them being unable to provide what I wanted.”

“The hat is very small, the elastic is so tight it hurts my ears. I am a 5 foot, small female and chose medium size, so I think the hat must be faulty.”

“The usual excellent sealskinz quality . Better than a beanie as the peak keeps the rain of my spectacles. Knocked a star off because the sizing is weird , I ended up with a large (59 cm) and it's still a bit tight and I usually take a 57 cm”
