“This is not about the hat, which is quite satisfactory. I have written to you on 6 January (copy below) about a pair of gloves I bought before Christmas which do not perform as I expected, and I have had no response. I had hoped to be able to return them for a refund, but I am now forced to go back to GoOutdoors who have said they will give me a £10 discount. Subject: Furnace Pro gloves Message: Further to my message of 28th December, GoOutdoors have recommended that I approach you directly about this. I should like to return them for a full refund. I have bought a pair of Walpole mitts, hoping these will do the job better. I actually had some sensible advice from Outside in Hathersage, despite them being unable to provide what I wanted.”

“The hat is very small, the elastic is so tight it hurts my ears. I am a 5 foot, small female and chose medium size, so I think the hat must be faulty.”

“The usual excellent sealskinz quality . Better than a beanie as the peak keeps the rain of my spectacles. Knocked a star off because the sizing is weird , I ended up with a large (59 cm) and it's still a bit tight and I usually take a 57 cm”

“The hat definitely covers the ears which was the primary goal. It is very warm and I haven't had a chance to use it a whole lot but as supposed to be waterproof. It has a nice feature to fold the ear flaps up if you don't need them. My one complaint is that it runs small. I followed the sizing instructions but it fits fairly tight. If I was to order it again I would go up a size from medium to large and I have a pretty small head. I hope that it loosens up a bit, but we'll see. Because it was shipped from the UK to the US. It took a very long time to arrive and the shipping update information was pretty generic and unhelpful.”

“Best hat I've had for winter walking in Scottish Highlands. To be honest ,it's not the most flattering with my head, but does the job perfectly”
