These gloves are very comfortable and extremely warm even on the coldest day. Fantastic quality well made and worth the high price.

These gloves are ridiculously comfortable, and part of that is because they are very slim for leather gloves. The marketing pictures don't really convey how thin these are. They have superb elasticity and feel close to the palm, so working on small projects is possible. These are the only leather gloves that allow me to comfortably hold a screw and use a screwdriver, or use a hex without feeling like I'm wearing oven mitts. The downside is that even though they are advertised as "cold weather" and even suggested to be fine for skiing, that is just simply not the case. Anything below 5°C and you'll struggle to keep your fingers from turning numb. Although I do not fully understand what "cold weather" means to Sealskinz, as they do not refer to a temperature range, so using this term probably gives them a justification. They refer to these gloves in their description as "suitable for brisk and damp days" but also as keeping you dry "in any kind of cold and wet weather". So misleading vocabulary or just marketing strategy? Putting that aside, these gloves are adequate for chilly mornings, but definitely not intended for the types of activities used as examples in the description. They are not wind proof not water proof. There is no such thing. They are resistant to water up to a certain point, like drizzly rain or a snowball fight, but once the water completely soaks the leather it will find its way through the membrane and unto your fingers, especially at the tips and knuckles. They are very good for touchscreen use though, which proves their thinness, which is good. But definitely not waterproof to such a high a degree as suggested. And once they get wet, that merino wool layer is useless, as you feel the coldness no matter what the marketing says. Especially if it's windy. It gets to the point where it doesn't even matter if your hands are actually dry or not, because they're cold either way. As for being suitable for work...seams gave up a week after I used them to trim sprinkler heads (I'm an irrigation tech). And as for sizes, I usually wear a medium, but had to go with small on these, it's something that happens on all Sealskinz gloves, I found. Not just gloves, even their socks. But I still enjoy them, as when it's dry and the temperature is mild, they are good, just not as "extreme" as you would think. Certainly not for the price. Which by the way, is so high. There are outlets that sell these for 20% less

So far I have zero complaints but I must tell you I gave the gloves to my daughter who teaches equestrian lessons. And let me assure you if there was a problem I would be the first to know!

Wanted a large, got a Medium. Even then that would never fit
