I bought these gloves for my brother in law and he says they are awesome. My husband also has a pair and he recommended we buy them for my brother in law's 50th.

I got a pair of these gloves in 2012 to use for ice fishing. I have used them for three seasons now in Colorado and couldn't be happier. -The fold-back fingers allow me to pick out small lures, bait hooks, and tie knots. I usually only remove the gloves when handling fish (to keep them clean and odor free). -I have comfortably fished for hours with these gloves in -20degF (-29C) weather. However on cold days, water beading on the outside of the glove may freeze, especially on fingertips, when that happens the utility drops but I blame that on the way I use the gloves not the design and materials. - They fit comfortably and the insulation is thin enough so that I can maintain sensitivity when trying to feel light biting fish. - The waterproofing has been excellent, I often dip my fingers into the ice cold water to clear out slush & break up ice. After three years the waterproofing has degraded slightly but I'm hopeful that can be improved with a wash to remove oils that have worked in rather than resorting to a spray. - I also use them on cold days in the fall and spring with my spinning reel, no problems with making good casts or detecting strikes. They are good looking gloves and I wear them on cold days just for getting around town.

These gloves were purchased as part of a trial for a local mountain rescue organisation. The idea was to use them as a working glove which would allow dexterity with the additional support of removing trigger finger and thumb for more intricate work. The gloves were fantastically in both autumn and winter condition however due to small magnets which held back said trigger finger and thumb which affected our navigational aids and therefore the gloves were not suitable if the gloves could be made without said magnets and merely a small piece of elastic to hold back trigger finger and thumb this would make the glove a fantastic piece of kit also team members noted that the material between thumb joint was cut a little short and subsequently found a cold spot a additional longer flap on the thumb overlapping said joint would finish off a superior garment

I bought a pair especially for game shooting on those wet and cold days between Oct and Feb. I chose those with magnets because I also do some vermin shooting and didn't want the ""tearing"" noise of velcro to disturb quarry. The magnets are a mixed blessing on a game shoot because as others have found, they pick up cartridges from pocket or bag when you put hand in to get cartridges to reload, and these often then drop on the ground! Worse than that however is the fact that they simply are NOT waterproof. The very first wet day my hands started warm and dry and quickly became wet and cold and the gloves sodden. I was wringing the water out of them regularly (and struggling to get them back on again!). They were marginally better than no glove because they reduced wind chill. I was extremely disappointed in the glove's performance and not impressed with how much I had paid for them given that performance.

The best shooting gloves out there. I bought them for my Dad and he loves them. Last winter he went to take a shot and his finger was so cold he couldn't pull the trigger. Now he's got the gloves and all he has to do is slip the index finger of the glove off and he has easy access. Delighted. Thank you.

The gloves were a gift, and were well received! He said they provided the perfect balance of warmth and dexterity. The customer service I experienced was the best of any online store I've used. Can't recommend Sealskinz enough. Thanks guys!
