Thank you for your review. With regards to the function of the gloves. these are constructed as a three-layer product, they have an outer layer that can get wet (this is fabric and can absorb water), an inner layer, and a waterproof membrane sandwiched in between. It is this membrane that provides a barrier to water passing through the outer layer and into the gloves and keeps your hands dry. All the products will keep water out up to the level of the Velcro on the gloves. If they are immersed in water above this level, they will become wet. This also applies if the cuffs are worn uncovered or with clothing tucked into the cuffs as this would allow water to splash into the glove or to run down the arms or clothing and into the gloves through the cuff. We do recommend that all products are worn tucked under clothing to prevent this from happening If your gloves were worn in a manner in which water ingress through the cuffs was not possible, please do contact our team directly at help@sealskinz.com to allow us to assist you further.
