Tried these gloves a few times now and each time I’ve worn them it’s been wet and windy. Hands have stayed dry and warm throughout the ride. Get the size right and you can’t go wrong. The grip and amount of padding are perfect for me and feel as though they offer protection without being too cumbersome. All round really happy with these gloves. .

First of all I would definitely follow the suggestion to order a size up...I measured my hand and was exactly a medium. I ordered large to be cautious and I'm glad I did. Even the large gloves were a bit snug and will probably need a few wears to break in. I found them to be excellent as far as being waterproof but I had hoped they would be a little warmer. The day I wore them it was -1 C and hands got a bit cold. On a very cold day I will have to wear another pair on top of these...at least my hands will be dry though.

After finally getting back on my bike fir the daily 10 mile commute, I experienced my first real test if the gloves today in heavy rain. I am sorry to say that by the time I finished my ride my gloves were soaked through and hands left cold and wet. The only reason I bought these were because they were supposed to be waterproof, but I am very disappointed - I'd bought some for my son as well and sadly he has had the same experience. They are also very small and painfully tight - despite following the measurement instructions and decided that I would fit a medium, I should have ordered a large as they are too small.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review on our All Weather MTB gloves. Our waterproof gloves are constructed as a three layer product, they have an outer layer which can get wet, an inner layer and a waterproof membrane sandwiched in between. It is this membrane that provides a barrier to water passing through the outer layer and into the gloves/socks and keeps your hands dry. All the products will keep water out up to the level of the Velcro on the gloves and if they are immersed in water above this level, they will become wet. This also applies if the cuffs are worn uncovered meaning water can splash or run into the cuff or with clothing tucked into them as this would allow water to run down the arms or clothing and into the gloves through the cuff. We do recommend that all products are worn tucked under and covered by clothing to prevent this happening. Aside from how they are worn, provided the internal membrane is not twisted, wrung or punctured and the items are not washed on a hot wash or dried near heat, the membrane inside should last many years and the product remain perfectly waterproof. We have checked our logs and we have been unable to locate an email into us regarding this issue. If you would like to email us directly at help@sealskinz.com we would be happy to assist you further.

Ok for cool dry weather, but failed the first real winter test. The outer covering quickly became sodden my fingers were damp but freezing. Even got cold fingers in cold dry weather. But I live ,run and mtb in Cumbria so the gloves were perhaps designed for lower altitudes

Thank you for your review for the All Weather MTB gloves. This particular model of gloves is an All Weather/Thermal 3 rated glove with little insulation and is not an especially warm glove by itself. The outer layers of the glove will become wet; however the inner layers will remain dry due to an internal membrane which prevents water from passing through the glove and into the inner layers. If you would like to contact us directly at help@sealskinz.com, we would be happy to recommend a warmer option for colder climates for you.
