“I had some original sealskins 20+ years ago, these are definitely an improvement! My local winter runs are boggy, No point with goretex shoes; it’s over the top. These allow me to run through the water and bog, let my shoes fill with water and drain out while keeping the insides dry and warm-ish. Bonus - The aqauseal top also kept the water out for a brief submersion in a river. I have run up to 10k in them and have found them surprisingly comfortable with no rubbing or soreness. I’d reserve them for days when it is wet and cold; for these days they are a great choice.”

“The socks are as described, with several layers which kept my feet dry even when my trainers let water in. I suppose I thought the merino wool would contribute to make the inner layer smoother or softer but they are comfortable all the same. I am very happy to keep my feet dry.”

“Keep your feet dry for a while( everything leaks in after a certain point) I gained a small blister from the hydrostop band at the top but this is probably because of the 40k hike they were used on. Overall they're good. Best waterproof socks about just wouldn't use the hydrostop ones on long journeys again”
