“Being an all weather biker has its issues in winter and frozen toes are high on the list. After years of struggling and putting up with frozen toes bodering on frostbite a friend told me about seal skins socks so i gave them a go. Needless to say the live up to the expectations and exceed them. No more frozen toes even after a 90 minute ride in freezing tempreatures at motorway speeds. Mine are still new and quite rigid but my friend assures me that they will losen up with use. The only issue I have is they are that tiny bit too thick that they put strain on my boots zippers but this should resolve itself in time. This is not an issue with the socks but my boot size. The socks are not majorly thick as I expected them to be but a reasonable thickness for normal thermal socks. Whilst my initail thoughts before buying were the cost compared to branded motorcycle thermal socks I'm pleased to say it is very much a penny wise pound foolish approach. I now see my seal skins more like essential boot liners rather than socks and given boots are £200+ it is more of a comfort upgrade for the boots rather than a standalone pair of socks. I have already had several friends show interest and have recommended they invest in a pair.”

“Just tested the socks with minus 4 in summerboots. Still warm and comfortable, but most important nomore wet socks and feet! Higly recommended.”

“First time purchase. Worn over 100% wool Falke socks throughout a wet, three day, Peak District, end of November hike. Feet kept dry and warm throughout despite shoes and outside of socks absolutely sodden. I have wondered if they would have been warm enough by themselves. Nonetheless I would recommend.”

“Kwaliteit is redelijk goed, maar toch lelijke blaren gelopen op een tocht van 110km. Een vriend van mij had dezelfde sokken gekocht en dezelfde tocht gedaan en zijn voeten waren bloed rood, dus niet geschikt voor iedereen.”

“I’ve been using these for the cold wet winter rides. The socks are comfortable and so far have kept me warm and dry down to 5deg c. They make your feet sweat but so far not excessively. They don’t have any seams so no pressure points . They are long enough so my winter tights go over them with good overlap”

“The socks themselves are amazing, had a pair years ago and it was time to update and send a couple pairs for gifts. Would have been nice to have a warning on how long the shipping took. I ordered on December 5th and didn’t get the socks until after Christmas. Better late than never.”
