“I bought these for a dog-walking friend as I have the neon yellow mid-calf version. I find them useful for prolonging the life of walking boots (which always start to leak after a year or so, however assiduous I am with looking after them). I am a little concerned at the moment though as I come home from my dog-walks with multiple grass seeds sticking out of the socks. (They've somehow got inside the boots.) I don't know if these will puncture the socks and affect the waterproofness. So far so good. I find the socks very comfortable either with or without ordinary socks underneath.”
