“This is a lovely jumper. I bought it as a present for my husband's birthday and he is very pleased with it. What you don't see from the pictures is that the cabling is on the back as well as the front - bonus! The jumper has been knitted on fairly substantial needles and so the knit is quite open. This does make it possibly a bit easier to snag on things like door handles, or dog claws so you might want to bear that in mind when choosing what to buy.
Sadly, after a week I found myself fixing a dropped stitch on the neck/shoulder that somehow slipped through quality control. Still, a bit of wool was provided with the jumper so I was able to get a crochet hook out and work the stitch back in. Hopefully it will hold; you can't see where it was, anyway. This is the only reason I've dropped a star in my review.
When you examine the spare bit of wool it has the feel (though thicker) of a hand spun thread from Shetland. This really reinforces the hand crafted credentials.
All in all I'm very pleased with my purchase.”
