“Really easy to put together. The chair is extremely comfortable and sturdy. I would recommend to anyone who wants a good, heavy duty office chair they can rely on. While the price is a lot, I would absolutely say it is worth it. The only issue I've had is some squeaking underneath the chair, but this is nothing some WD40 couldn't solve.”

“I was a bit concerned the chair would be overkill (I'm 'only' 15 stone) but after breaking the base of many chairs and having an armrest snap on my last one I figured I'd try something heavy duty. The chair is great, not oversized for me (6ft) and very comfortable. Only niggle is the armrests are too high for my usual seating position and after a couple of days having my elbows interfered with (particularly when typing) I removed the armrests (and covered the holes with M8x20 bolts with bolt covers). The back seems easily strong enough without the armrests and doing this probably voids any guarantee, but it works for me.”

Well, you seem to love the Alpha XL almost as much as we do! We're so chuffed with that. It's a cracking office chair. Just a note on removing the armrests. The arms are integral to the stability of the chair and we wouldn't recommend removing them for that reason. You may see stability issues over time without the arms. We just wanted to give you the heads up on that. Also as you mentioned, used as it is, we'll struggle to make any claims on the guarantee. That said, you seem to be getting along fine as you are. Fingers crossed!

It was a bit tough to put together, but that is only because it is made of strong things than the average office chair.”
Wow Sarah. We are so impressed with your power lifting! Amazing stuff. The Alpha XL 24 hour fabric manager chair is just made for you. And, it's so comfortable. Try unlocking the chair mechanism and setting the weight tension to keep your body moving and blood pumping while you're in the chair. I find that stops me getting stiff from sitting all day. Hope that works for you too. You need your body to feel good so you can lift.
