Mountain Dog are proudly the UK's Premier Dog Outfitter.
Established as a home-based business in 2017 when our border collie pup, Denver, joined the family. Since then our business has grown rapidly alongside this fluff ball who still acts as our ambassadog and chief tester of many products.

Today we have now served well over 150,000 customers and our business, whilst still small and family focused, occupies over 5000 square feet and is full of amazing dog products for the active and not so active pup alike.

Based in beautiful Northumberland our business sells on-line and at major dog events throughout the country such as Crufts.

“I’d just say it’s ok. Did it stop my dog pulling? No. Is it better than a similar lead I bought on Amazon for a third of the price? No. It’s softer on the hands but I don’t think it’s worth the price tag personally.”

“It's very strong and well made, the silicon stops are simple to use and don't move in use, the length is great and although it's 11mm thick cord it doesn't feel bulky, is very flexible and feels comfortable in the hand, I use a clicker and there is an additional loop just below the hand loop where I attach the clicker cord and the lead cord is large enough to attach the clicker so it is always near to my hand, In my opinion this is an excellent lead and well worth the money”

“5 stars for quality of the rope and comfy handle. However the rubber stops move with the tightening of the neck slip. Loses stars as doesn’t release easily so requires manual intervention.”

“Great slip lead - the silicone stopper works really well (especially in comparison to other slip leads we've had). The length of the lead is a bit longer than other slip leads we've had which is good for when we are walking him and letting him wander a bit.”

“I purchased a slip lead for ease and spread when walking my border collie on mixed terrain. The only difficulty I have is that my dog tends to twist and turn with excitement as well as our joint twisting and turning when going through gates etc, and this results in a knotted and twisted up lead. It would be impossible to attach a swivel at the dogs end of the lead but maybe one could be incorporated just after the handle? Thanks.”
