Mountain Dog are proudly the UK's Premier Dog Outfitter.
Established as a home-based business in 2017 when our border collie pup, Denver, joined the family. Since then our business has grown rapidly alongside this fluff ball who still acts as our ambassadog and chief tester of many products.

Today we have now served well over 150,000 customers and our business, whilst still small and family focused, occupies over 5000 square feet and is full of amazing dog products for the active and not so active pup alike.

Based in beautiful Northumberland our business sells on-line and at major dog events throughout the country such as Crufts.

“Versatile harness. I use it when hiking and running with my Border Collie and she finds it comfortable (I think!) and she likes to wear it. The handle helps lifts over stiles etc. The harness is good for canicross style running. Durable and washes easily too (important for dogs that roll around in the braken).”

“Size guide issues, the first and second straps fit my lithe Border Collie on maximum but the third strap is tight, just ok on his slim waist, He better not put on weight.”

“A lovely, functional harness with multiple adjustment points. The only reason it isn’t a 5 is the quality has been reduced on the front attachment point, it’s now made of thread rather than solid fabric and I don’t trust how long it will survive daily wear and tear.”

Hello Emma, Thanks so much for taking the time to leave a review! I’m glad to hear your general experience with the product has been positive. All of our products are sourced from only the most reliable sources including our Ruffwear equipment. This Flagline attachment point whilst not looking very strong, is made from reinforced ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene webbing. We will always advise caution to be taken when using the Front Attachment as even with the added strength, front heavy dogs may cause strain on the loop throughout walks. Best Wishes, Mountain Dog

“Wanted something with a handle for when we go hiking to help my dog if he gets stuck on big rocks etc. this is perfect! He’s comfy in it and I can help him when needed as the harness fits his full body.”

“BRILLIANT! Has revolutionised how I feel about walking my dog at night - especially as he gets scared by fireworks and loud noises and could escape his old harnesses. Feel totally secure now. Expensive item but well worth it - have bought two each for our two doggies.”

“My dog seems comfortable in her Ruffwear Flagline Harness. The first one we tried didn’t fit so well but it was so easy to exchange it for the next size which is a good fit.”
