Mountain Dog are proudly the UK's Premier Dog Outfitter.
Established as a home-based business in 2017 when our border collie pup, Denver, joined the family. Since then our business has grown rapidly alongside this fluff ball who still acts as our ambassadog and chief tester of many products.

“There isn’t anything positive to say about this harness in my recent experience. I ordered a small for my dachshund (he’s 10kg and 58cm girth so went with the recommended size based on this), when it arrived I adjusted to fit him which was no mean feat, it so difficult to adjust and not ideal if you are having to wear over a dog jumper some days and thus adjusting regularly! I also noticed the material and structure at the front and underneath was so stiff, I was sceptical but had ordered and fitted as the website advised so off we went on our daily adventure. After getting home I noticed the harness had rubbed and irritated my poor boy underneath his front legs. The customer services team were most unhelpful and offered no refund or credit note which I think is poor, they put it down to incorrect sizing but had recommended the small based on the measurements I had taken.”

We are so sorry this harness didn't work out for you - we have sold many thousands and it is a trusted product from a reputable brands. A small size harness is typically the domain of a border collie or spaniel. We offer a return policy to allow you to try at home, make a judgement on fit and if needed get a replacement or refund - unless you visit our store, where we can fit the dog in-person, we wouldn't ever be able to guarantee a fit and I am confident our team would not have directed you as you advise. Unfortunately you reported this after the item was worn outside and used for some time rendering the product unsaleable hence it is regrettable you left this review based on this. We would have loved to taken the opportunity to replace the item for something more suitable but we were left with no opportunity to help you further.

“Nice lightweight harness that does not restrict the dogs movement. My only wish is that the neck adjustment straps came with clips the same as the girth adjustment straps so that you could take the harness on and off over the head without having to tighten and loosen the straps every time as they are very difficult to adjust. If the harness came with this feature then I would give it 5 stars.”

“Brilliant harnesses. We bought them for our 2 springer spaniels. They were used to wearing a harness already, but these ones are so much simpler and quicker to put on, literally a few seconds is all it takes. As soon as we get them out, the dogs rush to put their heads through and get them on as they know it means a good walk! Really pleased with the harnesses, they look very smart, easy to wipe clean and have the added advantage of a front fastening if the dogs forget to walk nicely. Would highly recommend.”
