Mountain Dog are proudly the UK's Premier Dog Outfitter.
Established as a home-based business in 2017 when our border collie pup, Denver, joined the family. Since then our business has grown rapidly alongside this fluff ball who still acts as our ambassadog and chief tester of many products.

Today we have now served well over 150,000 customers and our business, whilst still small and family focused, occupies over 5000 square feet and is full of amazing dog products for the active and not so active pup alike.

“My dog is an Airedale, full of bounce and he wasn't well contained by his previous harness. This one of course is superb, it doesn't roll, it sits well and is not overly large of ungainly.”

“Great fit for my 35kg lab and is certainly strong enough. My only criticism is that it gets very stiff after it gets wet so makes it slightly uncomfortable. Hopefully it will become less stiff over time?”

With regards to your concern's about the stiffness of the harness, often we find that people can struggle with the buckles when getting the harness on and off. Whilst the sizing guides are 100% accurate, because of measuring your furry friend remotely it is difficult to get the correct size the first time around. “Perfect fit for my greyhound. We needed something reliable, comfortable, sturdy & with good control whilst on holiday hiking with her. This harness is perfect. She’s very comfortable in it, & secure. This gives us peace of mind when on an adventure rather than daily walkies at home. Though, I have tried it on daily walkies too, & it’s very useful when the cat-nav or Squirrel-nav kicks in! I can hold her by the handle & wait until she calms down! Highly recommend if it is control & security that you are looking for.”

“Lovely product as usual practical useful and beautiful. Comfortable and secure . My dog is quite small and wriggles out of most harnesses but this is undoubtedly the best”

Hello Jennifer, So glad to hear that you are impressed with the harness. At Mountain Dog HQ, we call this harness a Houdini proof harness! Because of the 5 points of adjustment, it means the fitting is to the dog's body rather than some areas being too big or too small. Blue is an awesome and bright colour! Many thanks for the purchase. “2 years ago I bought a Ruffwear Web Master Harness size XXS for my Jack Russel Chihuahua mix which fitted him perfectly when adjusted to its maximum size. He's worn the harness every day and walked between 6 and 10 miles 7 days a week, mostly off-leash, through bramble bushes, getting covered in mud and cow poo and sheep poo. My vet said he was a bit on the thin side so I increased his rations and alas, the 2 year old XXS harness is now too tight on his belly, hence I bought the next size up. The old harness is still in perfect condition despite having had a hard life and numerous hand washes. Alas the Ruffwear harness in size XS is not suitable for him, it fits well, same great quality, but the belly strap squashes his willy, so I have returned it and am awaiting an alternative. I have no hesitation in recommending the Ruffwear Web Master harness.”

Hello Antony, Sorry to hear about your fitting issue - hope you have recently had it resolved. If not there are other harnesses by Ruffwear which may be better suited for your little one. For example, the flagline has the same features plus extras as the webmaster offers as well as features from the front range harness. It is also lightweight and offers a material that dries quicker than the other harnesses. So glad to hear that even with the trouble of the web master harness you still recommend it.
