Hello Heather, sorry to hear the LUXE XR Max 2 isn't fully satisfying you at the moment.
You may want to try using the MTL pod/coil that comes included in the kit, as it's a far more gentle inhale sensation and you may find it a lot more comfortable to use.
Also be sure to adjust the airflow, because a wide open airflow slider can sometimes cause a more raggedy inhale which may cause a cough if it isn't your personal vaping style
