“My first order was a Formica/Plywood shelf from Off-cut Corner. Very easy to use website, though prices are displayed ex VAT. Would benefit from showing prices inclusive of VAT or at least having the option of exc. or inc. By the time I got to the checkout and added VAT and a hefty delivery charge, the shelf was not quite the absolute bargain it first appeared, but still very good value.
The shelf was shipped very quickly and delivered in bullet-proof packaging which included hardboard sheets on either side, and substantial corner and edge protectors. This made the delivery charge seem entirely justified. The carrier was FedEx, who are definitely in the top tier of parcel couriers. Again, justifies the price for delivery.
I was blown away by the quality of the shelf. The edges had been very nicely sanded and sealed to give a beautifully smooth surface with a slight sheen. Much better than I had expected.
The shelf (24mm thick) weighs a ton and will require some substantial brackets to support it, but it looks absolutely fab and will no doubt prove immensely resistant to sagging.
All in all, a stellar online purchasing experience. Well done guys!”
