“I find things a bit hit and miss with home brew kits, and in the past I'd expect the best from the premium kits sometimes to be disappointed (my favourite lager is Wilko's Cerveza which still comes in at under a tenner, until you've bought the sugar). So it's hit and miss, kit to kit, until you've found your favourites. This was the hit of last year, a wonderful citrussy, hoppy IPA with good strength and not over sweet. It comes with two sachets of hops, one you add at initial fermentation, and one mid way, which seemed a faff when I read it, but the result justifies the trouble, and I guess Muntons know what they're doing. Lovely, refreshing, bitter, strong, buy it!”
