“Well the porter has been bottled nearly five weeks now and it is a very smooth drink with lots of flavours to delight the palete. There is an aftertaste of burnt chocolate which is not overpowering but pleasant on the back of the tongue and also Indian spices, predominantly cloves,,come through in the taste which again are subtle and very pleasant. This kit is in my view a very good clone of a commercially made porter and I would highly recommend it.”

“Having made three liquid malt kits I decided to have a go at a part grain kit of porter. I purchased a fifteen litre pan from the Internet at £18 delivered and ordered the porter kit also from the love brewing Internet site. Delivery was spot on and I started making this kit. I found the process very satisfying and more interesting than making all extract brews. The instructions were clear and precise and all went well. The starting Gravity was 1062 and finished at 1022. The beer will therefore be just over 5% ABV. I tried a half pint of the porter which I could not get into the bottles and it was delicious, smooth and just like a porter should be. I will do a further review on the beer in a few weeks when it has carbonated and matured so watch this space! Thank you.”
