“I wanted to get back into brewing after a long break and decided to try one of these kits to cut my teeth on. I opened the box on the 8th Oct, found the instructions very easy to follow and in no time had the wort in the fermenter and had pitched the yeast. I fermented in a bucket which I stood in the kitchen which stays at a fairly consistent 18C. The fermentation chugged along nicely and after 10 days I dry hopped with the hops provided. After 14 days I kegged the brew and left to condition for three weeks. I tried a little sample today (17 Nov) and wow!!! I am very impressed! I now have 19 litres of IPA which smells and tastes great! There is a strong ( but not overpowering ) hop aroma and taste, it is very clean tasting thanks to the yeast supplied with the kit. The beer reminds me of a Brewdog Punk IPA, it has the same characteristics although not a clone. I did nothing special when I brewed this kit, no water treatment, it was straight out of the tap Derbyshire drinking water. The only thing I did was rehydrate the yeast prior to pitching. It gets a very big thumbs up from me, a very well put together kit.”
