This kit is a revelatiom, my reintroduction to homebrewing. A rich, dark stout that is so round in the flavour that it leaves me grasping for a proper description. Others said they reduced the hops, but I used all of them and it's worth it. There is no doubt this is a winter ale and reminds me of some of the belters that used to be available. Well worth the price of the kit, this will keep me warmed up until next summer.

This Stout is quite remarkable. Flavours of salted Black Chocolate and sharp dark malted grain. A powerful beer to be sipped in the evening for a settled night with happy dreams.

This makes a superb, dark rich and powerful stout. The Beerworks kits are the best I've tried . Across their range, I find the amount of hops provided is too much for me. But once you've tried a kit, you can adjust to your taste. I'm taking the advantage of the fact its summer to reserve some of my last batch for autumn. Definitely going to be brewing this stuff again!

This was my re-introduction to home brewing since my student days. This kit is pricey (at the non-sale cost) but worth every penny. It really is full on with body, flavour and ABV! I'd reduced the hops with other Beerworks kits, but felt this thick, dark monster could take the full bag. I'm glad I did as the result is outstanding. Looking forward to having another batch of this ready for winter

This is a beautifully smooth, tasty stout, really quite exceptional. I have shared it with friends and family and no one has had a bad thing to say about it. Yes, it is expensive compared with other kits but the end result makes it very worthwhile!

Highly recommend this stout kit-better than most pints in a pub and the vast majority of shop bought bottles, exception being Northen Monk’s Death stout. Blacker than black and delicious, the kit seems pricey for a homebrew kit but that’s because you get twice the ingredients you do in a normal kit.

Not much else to say.. you won't find a stout this good in the supermarket, and you'd be paying quite a price to pick up any comparable bottle. Cheers Richard and crew!
