This was my first brew for over 30 years - and although I was always satisfied with my results, this beer knocks them into a cocked hat. I was rather like an expectant father, pacing the floor to make sure my temps and gravity were OK much to my wife\'s annoyance. The yeast needed a bit of encouragement towards the end, but eventually came good. The proof of the pudding is in the eating, and this proved to turn out far better than expected, if maybe a little cloudy (not that I\'ve ever bought a beer to look at). A very refreshing beer, with a good bitter aftertaste, and one which may well become my \'go to\' everyday beer. Although I have highlighted a couple of issues, it\'s important to point out that these are down to my lack of experience - I\'ve already changed methods to try to make sure they don\'t happen again. In summary, I would highly recommend this kit for a first time brewer - following the instructions and the excellent videos on this website will yield a very good brew. I would also recommend it to a more experience brewer who might want to produce a quality session ale with the minimum of fuss. Nice one.

This was my first attempt at home brewing. Enjoyed making the beer and loved drinking it. Thoroughly recommend this. Now what to make for my second attempt at home brewing?
