This is the first all-grain brew I have made, having made an extract brew and then a part-grain. I made this using my new Bulldog Brewer and I am well pleased with the result. Not only have I been pleased but several of my friends and one of my sons were full of praise for it. I cannot remember what Hobgoblin tastes like, but whatever it's like, this Beerworks kit has given me an excellent result.

Mt first all grain brew in my new Grainfather. Cracked open a bottle of the original to compare. Well, mines better! Wonderfully smooth I cant believe I actually made beer like this. Agree with the sparge water comments by some miracle I got the amount about right. I have been bragging about it for days, now I deny making beer, more for me!

Taste is divine. Plenty of flavour and smooth and easy drinking. Shame it\'s not the full 23 litres. I will definitely make this again

This was probably my fourth or fifth Beerworks brew - and my favourite so far. It\'s an excellent beer, and thoroughly recommended. Just bottled some this morning, after a month in the barrel, so looking forward to seeing how that performs in about a month\'s time.

This kit is as near as you can get to hobgoblin. Really tasty and smooth. Made with the Grainfather but use their spage water calculations as the sparge water instructions are 4ltrs short! My only moan is that the kit is only 19ltrs. Ide sooner pay an extra £2 and make 23ltrs/40pints after spending 5 hours making it! Come on love brewing make it £20 so there all 40 pint kits.

Having made this Hobgoblin clone I must say its not a far off the real thing at all. Nice smooth taste with the correct amount of chocolate background taste. My only problem with the kit is that I thought I was buying a 40 pint kit but it was only a 19ltr kit! My opinion is if I\'m going through the 5 hour process to make the beer I want a a full 23ltr 40 pint return at the end. I can\'t see any reason why love brewing can\'t put the extra ingredients in to get a full 40 pints even if cost an extra £2 to buy. I hope the other kits aren\'t 19ltrs! Can\'t fault the beer at all just not happy it\'s not a full 40 pints.
