Having started homebrew with the Grainfather and had instant success with the all grain kits, the bar was set high! The Landlord recipe did not disappoint. A lovely smooth beer worthy of a second glass! For 20 years I have gone out for a beer ....now I'm staying at home!

My first all grain brew. Very good imitation of Landlord. Took a bottle to a friendly pub (with permission) to compare against the real thing. The local dedicated Landlord drinkers were asked to check a pint "to see what was wrong with it" (not telling them it was mine!) and they said there was nothing wrong with it. After revealing the truth it was decided that it was very slightly sweeter and was higher carbonated (was bottled). Anyway, the alcohol level is higher than the original (should be 4.3% mine turned out to be 6%) but it tastes great. I've moved to putting as little as 70g dextrous in the bottling bucket, but that still gasses it more than pub bought - though some prefer it! Recommended.

I've just started brewing and purchased the Grainfather so I could brew from grain. I tried a couple of recipes that meant me purchasing the ingredients separately and I produced some very good results, trouble is, I end up with leftover ingredients. The beauty of the kits is that you only buy what you need so you don\'t have any leftovers. The TT Landlord clone is a fantastic pint and I\'m about to reorder another 2 kits because it didn\'t last long once made. This kit produces a great pint that can\'t be distinguished from a decent pint in a pub. I have to say the Grainfather is also excellent and very easy to use with a small footprint. The counterflow cooler is also very effective cooling the wort from 95 degrees to

First ever brew since student days. Used a Brewster. It turned out great, and a bunch of friends came over, it was polished off in no time. The amount we managed to get out was only 16 litres, we boiled the hops with the lid off and maybe should have topped up during this. At barrelling it was extremely bitter, but 2 weeks in it was much more mellow, and I think a couple of weeks more would have made an outstanding pint. It was so good we (three of us brewing together), are ordering the kit again and will use it as a base to play with other hop types. You might save a few quid shopping around, but the delivery to Sweden was quick and the lady on the help line fantastic, so good value.

Ordered this kit with my Grainfather and have just cracked it open after 8 weeks in a barrel. It should be noted at this point that this is my first all-grain brew so I have no real frame of reference from a brewing perspective. I do however know what a good beer in a pub tastes like and this would be right at home there! It just tastes like proper beer - a good golden ale without any hint of those homebrew tangs that have been frequently present in the kit beers I have brewed. I haven't got a TT landlord at hand to compare if this is an accurate replica or not. That said, I chose the landlord because I knew I always enjoy it - and I am enjoying this. One too! As an aside this is also an endorsement for the grainfather: very easy to use and a really impressive result for my first all grain attempt!
