“Received kit, looks quality and well made. Annoyingly power adapter had a 2 pin plug, had to wait for a 2-3 pin adapter to be posted. Set it up and wouldn’t work, tested the adapters and found a wire off inside the solenoid connector, manufacturing fault…grr. Setting up is easy but instructions are complex and overly confusing (I write manuals for a living) Finally got things running, patience for a few days for reactor to ‘brake in’ and dial in the carbon flow rate. I would use all the reactor length that will fit in your tank to give maximum time for CO2 to diffuse (otherwise you are wasting it out of the top!) the bubble counter kept falling off the side of the tank as it sits at a stupid angle and peels the suckers off. I fixed this by using a spare sucker off something else and propping the bottom of the cup away from the tank; bad design really. The bottle is stood upright in the base of my tank cupboard, why are the gauges on the regulator pointing up where you can’t see them?? Good system after modifying and patience hence the 4 stars but let down a bit by manufacturing faults and instructions. Hope that helps….”

“Bought a jbl pro flora u502; great price, fast delivery but power adapter had a European 2 pin plug. Contacted lincs aquatics and they apologised and immediately sent out a genuine jbl conversion adapter to a uk three pin plug. Got the system running now, you should mention in there advert that it comes with a 2 pin plug though. The regulator had also punched through the front of the box in transit but seems undamaged.”

“I tried a planted tank without co2 and the plants looked terrible after a while, some barely grew at all. In my new set up adding co2 its been great. Really easy to set up and the difference is amazing. Make sure you put in a non return valve in the tube otherwise the water from bubble counter will drain out towards the canister.”
