“Ridiculously overpriced at nearly £40....but you have to buy it if you want to open the hatch as it has the metal fitting on the end to twist open the latch. I bought an aluminium hatch ladder from Toolstation fot £89.99p which is very good which comes with a pole to pull down the ladder...this is made from exactly the same material and is longer...so basically you are paying £40 for a small metal fitting on the end of the pole.”

Thank you for your review David, I appreciate the comparison you're making does make the product seem pricey, but there are some considerations you might not be aware of. The product you're comparing is mass produced overseas, and sold by a large corporation with massive buying power. On the other hand, we're a family owned business with UK based manufacturing. I'm not going to go into our individual costs but if you take the price you paid. Deduct the 20% VAT and strip out manufacturing and other costs you might change your view. Sometimes the price of an item, can seem high relatively high compared to what it is, but what it does has an intangible value. It allows you to open your new loft hatch and reach your loft ladder quickly and safely from floor level. Thank you for your feedback, I hope this gives a bit more perspective. Martin
