Grapes: A Chardonnay and Pinot Noir blend with two years cellaring and as much time as possible on its lees beforehand creates a wine with structure.
Producer Tasting Note:
Honeysuckle and citrus scents are immediately apparent with slight aromas of nougat, roasted nuts and a sniff of strawberry from the Pinot Noir. Delicate fruits and creaminess wash through the mouth leaving a lingering finish of citrus and nougat.

"Jansz Tasmania is closing in on 40 years of production, and it has been a proven, reliable producer year after year. The fruit is sourced from selected cool climate vineyards from the Pipers River and Tamar Valley regions in the north, to the Coal River Valley in the south. Each batch is kept separate until the blend, roughly a 66/34 chardonnay/ pinot noir mix. The nose is a taut affair of orchard fruits with lemon zest and honeysuckle. The palate has terrific tension, wild strawberries, and bright acidity, tempered by creamy textures and hazelnuts at the finish. It's released with a minimum of three months of bottle age after it is disgorged. Oysters, anyone?"
