Prosecco Brilla DOC Veneto, Italy
Grape: 100% Glera, unoaked.
Refreshingly crisp with a delicate perlage, pale straw yellow colour. Delicate and complex bouquet with fruity notes reminiscent of peach and green apple with secondary notes of acacia and lilac. Fresh and light on the palate, with balanced acidity and body; harmonious with a lingering aftertaste. In a great looking bottle with an encrusted label.
Critic's Tasting Note:
"Bright, pale yellow, even colour throughout. Moderate persistent bubbles. The nose is soft and creamy, with subtle nuances of apple, pear and stonefruit melded with delicate florals and creamy lees. Medium-light bodied, the fresh and crunchy aroma of green apple, nashi pear and peach leading the palate with lively acidity, unveil delicate florals, and linger on a creamy palate and subtle spice on the finish. The fruit has concentration and brightness, flow smoothly along a mouthwatering acid drive; creamy lees and a touch of sugar balanced the acidity. Match with sushi and Thai fare over the next 2-3 years. 100% Glera from Veneto and hills around Treviso area, fermented to 11% alc, Charmat method."
18/20 points, Raymond Chan Wine Reviews, May 2021
Ideal as an aperitif, it pairs perfectly with hors d’oeuvres and delicate first courses. Also excellent with sushi, fish and shellfish.

This is such a lovely prosecco, medium-light bodied goes well with fish dishes. One of the nicest proseccos I have ever had...beats a lot of highly-priced champagne. The bottle is so attractive and well-made.

The best Prosecco I’ve tried… a little more money both worth it!

We had this prosecco abroad & loved it, despite not being prosecco fans (I prefer champagne or the less fashionable cava) It is fruity & light, yet has a slight hint of vanilla warmth. The bottles are especially lovely & it will make wonderful gifts at Christmas!
