Ca Vittoria, 'Riva dei Ciliegi', Prosecco Superiore, Conegliano Valdobbiadene DOCG, Italy
Grape: 100% Glera from a single estate.
Producer Tasting Note:
Prosecco has fast become Italy's most popular sparkling wine. This is a beautifully balanced wine with what can only be described as a deliciously fresh, zingy flavour with notes of yellow apple, pear, white peach, and apricot. A delicious, off-dry (16g/l residual sugar) sparkling wine made with the delicate and aromatic Glera grapes which are grown on the hillsides of the Friuli region of north eastern Italy. Ideal just as an aperitif and as an ingredient for that extra special cocktail.
The Ca’Vittoria farm is situated in one of the best wine-making areas of the Conegliano hills, in the heart of the Conegliano Valdobbiadene D.O.C.G. Prosecco Superiore production area. The production of this wine there has been passed down with great wisdom and passion for decades, and for us it has become a strong foundation and tie to the region. In our vineyards, thanks to a careful clonal selection of cultivated vines, an ideal microclimate and well-structured soil, we are able to produce high quality grapes, which we turn into wine with passion, to fill up our glasses with the fruits of our tradition. Our production philosophy is aimed at the continuous updating of wine-making methods and is combined with a considerable experience and sensitivity matured in over twenty years of passion for Prosecco.
Critical Acclaim:
“Fabulously fresh, focussed and pure fruit make this a very pretty tipple. It is slightly sweet on the finish and generous, fruity and appealing with great grape and pear flavours.”
Jamie Goode, The Sunday Express, 2016
"Brilliant silver grey colour with persistent mousse. Fragrant nose of white peach and pear supported by white flowers. Dry initially on the palate with a fruity body. Balanced mousse envelops the delicate fruit sweetness, good length with a dry finish."
90/100 points, FALSTAFF (Austria), 2019
Also awarded GOLD at the Global Prosecco Masters, 2015
Food Match: Savoury focaccia, vegetable-based dishes, grilled fish, or roasted white meat. Also, if you like pizza, why not try this top Prosecco with the classic Neapolitan "Margherita". Simple is always the best.

In the ocean of the 175-odd million bottles of Prosecco consumed in the UK (2019 statistic), this one continues to stand out as real quality. Excellent flowery nose and depth and length on the palate. I have been drinking this cuvee for many years and the quality has been unwavering. Excellent value at the price. I return to Ca' Vittoria 'Riva dei Ciliegi' every time that I have strayed elsewhere even at higher prices.

First tried this at Pecks in cheshire, and found it online here at Fraziers at a great price. You can pay £7-10 for average prosecco in the supermarkets but this has a touch of class and a wonderful taste. Delivery was amazing too. Great service and product. Thanks!
