“I'm very pleased with this pair of trainers. I had doubts about sizing, comfort and grip. I'm using these for dinghy sailing on a reservoir with a sloped concrete shore covered in slimy algae. About the size concerns, I ordered a pair with a whole UK size larger than my other trainers (NBalance for reference) the reason behind that is using the trainers with drysuit + thick merino socks underneath for cold weather, and with neoprene socks for warm weather. I feel like 0.5 sizes larger would have been enough but it still is a comfortable fit. It's slightly narrower than my ordinary trainers. Comfort: it's comfortable. the materials are a bit rigid, plasticky and rough here and there, but in turn, it doesn't absorb much water - thus it dries very quickly. Also, it's also not insulated so you can feel the cold water (in the dry suit) but that goes away as soon as the water drains out (and it drains out very quickly). I feel a bit of pressure on my little toe while walking but that's likely due to the upsizing and it seems to be breaking in. Two cons though: - the left tongue is slipping to the side letting the shoelace chaffing against the top of the drysuit sock. - the shoelaces often come undone regardless of how tight I make the knot. Grip: is fantastic. I expected to be slippy due to the rigid feel of the sole. But I was astonished how well it grips to slimy concrete or the wet plastic hull of the boats I used. And the sole is non-marking. It's also comfortable on the shore but I wouldn't wear it as a casual shoe - the drain holes on the sole also allow water/mud to get in the shoes and make your socks/feet wet and dirty. Overall, I love these shoes. And I would buy them again.”
