Built-in GPS and full DSC capabilities give the ability to share position information in the event of an emergency. The built in Bluetooth feature gives the additional advantage of handsfree VHF operation, compatible with the SSM-BT-20 Bluetooth headset and additional aftermarket headset types. I use this whilst out on my kitefoil in the Solent. Its small enough to fit into my lifejacket front pocket and has the added peace of mind of DSC for emergency mayday call. Portable so will come in usefull on my sailing dingy and fishing boat.
