McGard outboard motor locks are designed to lock the outboard onto the transom of the boat. Simply replace one of the mounting nuts with a McGard locking nut. These outboard motor locks are fully machined from high quality stainless steel and are through-hardened. The free spinning collar will turn when gripped by pliers or some other gripping tool. Tightened via a special socket (supplied). Metric thread explanation e.g M12 x 1.25 M12 - 12mm bolt body diameter in mm 1.25 - pitch of thread i.e the measurerment from the peak of 1 thread to the next (mm) Imperial thread explanation e.g 1/2" x 13tpi 1.2" - the bolt body diameter in inches 13 - pitch of thread in threads per inch - in this example13 threads per inch Available Sizes 1/2" - 20tpi Thread (P/No. 630344) - fits a bolt with an imperial UNF thread size of 1/2" - 20tpi which are usually supplied with the following engines:- Mercury/Mariner 40Hp & larger (2 stroke) Optimax 75Hp & larger Mercury 25 HP & larger (4 stroke) Verado 135 & larger Suzuki 150 - 300 HP M12 - 1.25 Thread (P/No. 630345) - fits a bolt with a metric thread size of M12 x1.25 which are usually supplied with the following engines:- Yamaha 40Hp & larger (2 stroke) Yamaha 30Hp & larger (4 stroke) Honda 40Hp & larger Suzuki 25-140Hp (2005 & newer) 1/2" - 13tpi Thread (P/No. 630346) - fits a bolt with an imperial thread size of 1/2" x 13tpi which are usually supplied with the following engines:- Johnson/Evinrude 40 HP and larger (2 stroke) 5/16" - 18tpi Thread (P/No. 630347) - fits a bolt with an imperial thread size of 5/16" x 18 which are usually supplied with the following engines:- Honda 8-30 HP Johnson/Evinrude 6-30 HP Mercury/Mariner 8-25 HP Suzuki 8-30 HP Tohatsu 8-18 HP Yamaha 8-25 HP (Lock may fit some 2 strokes up to 30 HP, verify hole diameter) Will fit other small outboards with a 5/16" hole in the transom bracket for mounting the motor (stainless steel bolt included in set). M12 x 1.75 Thread (P/No. 630348) - fits a bolt with an metricl thread size of M12 x 1.75 which are usually supplied with the following engines:- Suzuki 25 - 140 HP (2004 and earlier) Tohatsu 25 HP and larger Johnson/Evinrude 40 HP and larger (4 stroke)
