It is knitted with close stitches from tightly twisted wool and gives the ability to withstand sea spray and rain. How to wash your Guernsey Sweater This is a hard wearing sweater and shouldn't warrant continuous cleaning, If you do need to clean it we suggest doing so by hand and we recommend drying flat or taking it to a professional dry cleaner.
