Galvanised steel link used for joining two lengths of chain in low load situations. The two 'c' shaped sections are fitted together and the protruding pins hammered flat to make a permanent connection that should run through most windlasses. Made from mild steel these joining links are a neat way of joining chain without having a bulky shackle part way through the length of the chain. Installation is very simple, but you will require a hammer and a hard surface in which to peen over the joining pins. Key Features Galvanised Steel Neat and unobtrusive Designed for low load situations only (this link is unlikely to be as strong as the existing chain links due to the softer nature of the metal used) Available in either 6mm, 8mm or 10mm sizes Available in three sizes: P/No 840716 • 6mm • Length 38mm x Width 25mm (Inside 22mm x 11mm) P/No 840794 • 8mm • Length 45mm x Width 31mm (Inside 25.5mm x 13mm) P/No 840795 • 10mm • Length 54mm x Width 34.5mm (Inside 28mm x 14.5mm)
