Kingfisher Evolution Breeze Rope 5mm Yellow Reviews

4.5 Rating 2 Reviews
Read Force 4 Chandlery Reviews

Evolution Breeze rope has a multi-filament Polypropylene core and a melange style Polyester and Technora cover. Unlike most braids, the strength comes from the cover so the rope is ideal for endless splices. The melange style of cover is not only for appearance, but also balances the load on the cover and gives the rope good abrasion resistance. • Stretch (at 20% of break load): 3% • Uses: Control Lines Available in a choice of colours - Blue, Purple, Red, Yellow • 4mm Diameter - Min Break Strength: 580kg • 5mm Diameter - Min Break Strength: 850kg Sold Per Metre

Great rope for easy splicing. I’ve only just started using it so no view yet of how it wears long term but initial experience is it’s good, with no detectable stretch and grips well in the glove. Shame it doesn’t come in more vibrant colours but that’s my only gripe about the rope.

I was looking to rig a continuous kicker control line on my K6 keel boat and chose after some research Kingfisher Breeze 5mm. It works very well. Easy to splice, the cover opens up with a lengthways squeeze and, from the rope description, the strength is in the cover not the core, so perfect for splicing. Breeze comes in a range of colours which are a bit muted, could be brighter. Really recommend the rope for splicing. Not sure how it will ware at this point but the signs are good.
