Extract-It 6Ltr Oil Extractor Vacuum Pump - A very clever vacuum pump which can be used to change oil with no fuss or mess on boats, cars, motorbikes & anything that has an engine. Between 10 to 20 strokes of the pump creates a powerful vacuum, which can then suck out the dirty engine oil (or any other liquid from inaccesible areas such as the bilges). The dirty oil is sealed inside the tough durable container and a funnel is supplied for mess free emptying. Because the pump unit only creates a vacuum and no oil passes through it it does not need much cleaning. Features: Capacity: 6 Litres Removable pump for easy storage Easy to read measurements Supplied with 2m of 6mm I.D. hose

Thanks for the prompt to review this-perhaps I have put it together wrongly but it took two hours to draw the 5 L of oilout from the engine! Surely some mistake!

I bought this to remove oil so i could change it for the new season. It worked very well once i had worked out how to set the hose clamp. 40 pumps created enough vacuum to pull out the oil and the markings on the container showed i when i had pulled it all out. The warm oil made the hose nice and flexible. A few days later i used it to pull water out my engine bilge. This was harder for 2 reasons. Firstly i had left the hose clamp on and after releasing it the hose was still closed up - a quick pinch with some pliers fixed that. Secondly the hose is very stiff and i couldnt get it to sit in the deepest part of the bilge. With those 2 niggles aside i think this is a very good product.
