I have had a pair of these fitted to my tender for a couple of years. I invert the tender when not in use, so it is good that the rowlocks are easy to remove. The rowlock is retained with a small spigot that locates in a slot on one side of the socket. After putting the rowlock into the socket, it is rotated 180 degrees before fitting the oar so it can't lift out while rowing. However, one day after I removed the oar while coming alongside, a mooring rope spun the rowlock around and lifted it out of its socket and there was a splash. (plated brass does not float ...). I bought a replacement. I now have lanyards tied around the stocks of my rowlocks: a precaution that I would recommend to other purchasers.

A slight mix up with the despatch of the rowlocks and the sockets was soon sorted out and everything arrived as ordered. The lady I spoke to was absolutely marvellous, polite and efficient. I've made and received another order from them since that arrived just days later, even though it was Christmas and I expected a delay. Excellent service, goods and experience.

These rowlocks have made all the difference to my rowing dinghy on the Thames. I have placed them in the right position which helps and the oars no longer spring out of the rowlocks under pressure.
