This is a danbuoy to take to the Southern Ocaen, over 2m in length and extends to 3m approx weight 5kg at least. So had to send it back as much to big and heavy for our 30ft'er. Pity size and weight not included in on line description,. Force 4 were very good and paid for me to return the Danbuoy

Danbuoys are bulky and awkward devices. It was difficult to find a sensible place to install one on my 33ft yacht. I purchased this telescopic one to make installation easier but it was still a challenge. When the pole is telescoped down there is a gap between the two pole sections that will allow rainwater entry and fill the lower section with water. The flag isn't properly secured. I will fabricate a waterproof cover/ sheath of about 1ft long to protect the light/flag and stop the rainwater entry. The quality of this product is just about acceptable and the low price was key to my decision to purchase a danbuoy or go without.
