Our boat is based on the east coast of Scotland. One coat of this antifoul over the previous year's seems to keep all fouling at bay. Yes I know I should scrape off the old stuff but losing half a knot a year doesn't bother me! When I win the pools I will have the boat coppercoated, but in the meantime this Shogun stuff works well.

I have used the product in the past and it has worked well, even with one coat. I hope to find it equally good this season though these are early days in which to judg it, The issue is different. When it was delivered the tin was damaged. It is important that Force 4 ensures that the carrier is up to the mark which appears not to be the case

Not only is it rated Best Buy in Practical Boat Owner as a general assessment, there are other reviews I have read that recommend it for my cruising grounds in particular (East Coast). I have now used it for four seasons,m always with good results.

I have used Seajet Shogun antifouling for about 10 years on my Moody 34. We are moored in Oban. It has performed really well and is not building any significant thickness over the years. Good stuff.

Good anitifouling for Scottish waters, very little growth at end of season. Particularly happy with service from Force 4 who were excellent when the tin I ordered arrived with the lid leaking.

It's expensive, but the guy who sold my the boat advised me to use it and I have been doing so for some years. It's effective, it's been nearly 2 years since the boat was antifouled, and with much lower than usual use my bottom isn't too bad. The boat has been in the water the whole time. It's been due to be hauled out and cancelled 3 times now (various lockdowns), and the growth was still not bad last time I saw the boat. Maybe I'll change my mind when the boat is finally hauled out.
