Flag Cruising Antifoul 2.5L is a copper based, self-eroding antifouling suitable for craft capable of speeds upto around 8 knots. It offers excellent value and good allround fouling prevention. It has proven performance within a wide variety of UK conditions & many European locations. Use on GRP, wood, steel & ferro-cement (over a suitable primer). The eroding design is proven to create less 'build up' than many traditional or hard antifoulings. Flag Cruising antifoul can be applied over the top of most single component antifouls with minimal preparation (normall just a very light sand and wash with fresh water). If you are starting from a bare hull, or you don't know what sort of antifoul is currently in place, apply a coat of Flag Multipurpose Primer (M400840) to start with.  Key Features Thinners/Tool Cleaner: Use Thinners No.3 (See P/No 400838) Coverage: 10 sq.m/ltr (Download the Flag Antifoul coverage chart here) Colours: Black, Dark Blue, Light Blue, Red, Off White Primer: For use on most substrates, including fibreglass, Flag Multipurpose Primer is a good choice Can be applied with either a roller or brush. When starting with an uncoated surface, apply 2 coats for a full season of protection. Manufacturers data sheet details:  This product is self-priming when applying over existing (similar copper based) antifoulings; otherwise FLAG Multi-Purpose Metallic Primer is required. Suitable for general sailing and displacement craft with speeds up to around 8 knots Also suitable for fresh water Area of use: Boat hulls, below the waterline. Substrates: GRP, wood, steel and ferro cement. Not suitable for aluminium or galvanised surfaces Colours available; Black Dark Blue  Light Blue Red Steel White  More information available on the Flag Cruising Antifoul: Flag Cruising Antifoul Coverage Calculator Flag Cruising Antifoul Product data sheet

Arrived in a perfect cardboard box, but appeared to have been dropped miss handled or other . Although I purchased this a a guest , I have had an account with Force 4 for many years and many orders. I plan to open the tin in the next few days and hope it’s not contaminated. Very disappointed after so many years.

Fast delivery and does what it says on the tin. Be prepared to give it a good stir up when you receive as I think the one I received had been sitting around for a while. Still done the job well though. Loving the colour.

Used for waterline,, Used as directed how to apply, 3 coats , mixed well before use , works well straight from tin . Strange when appled but turned white after a few tides. Spot on.

Cheap antifoul, works as well as any other I think. Goes on well using a standard roller.

For me, painting over the existing white antifoul I definitely needed two coats which was surprising. The antifoul is a greyish colour with a hint of pink, definitely not white. although this may change when launched. I used both brush and roller on the first coat but couldn't get adequate coverage with either. To be fair, the second coat was easier and quicker to apply and did cover the original colour. I suppose you get what you pay for - other more expensive antifouls tend to cover in one coat, I've found.
