The Automatic Identification System (AIS) serves as a vital monitoring tool for maritime traffic, particularly beneficial during challenging weather conditions such as fog or nighttime navigation. Operating on two designated VHF channels (161.975 and 162.025 MHz), the AIS system provides real-time traffic information for enhanced navigation safety. Glomex has developed a specialized range of calibrated antennas precisely tailored to these VHF frequencies and AIS standards. The RA111AIS antenna, features a protective synthetic rubber tube, suitable for installation on both sailboats and motorboats. With the included V9181 support, the RA111AIS can be easily mounted vertically or horizontally, whether on the mast or pulpit.
