“Fantastic communication from fat stick - fast response to any queries. The board is lovely and I have been out on it a couple of times already. I took a paddle boarding lesson prior to buying my board and my instructor used these boards amongst others. He recommended that I go for a slightly thinner board (4.75) as these support self rescue and sit in the water perfectly. Quick delivery time and kept upto date throughout. Would highly recommend”
“Bought the board as an ex display model, but it turned up all packaged and in immaculate condition with a super fast delivery as well. Took the board out and was super easy to inflate and to use, was really stable on the water, even with a couple of beginners using it and carrying kids as well. Deflated really easily, everything was so easy to put together and dismantle, a great product which im really impressed by and would definitely recommend to anyone”
“The board arrived quickly, its great quality as is the bag and it was competitively priced. Used it a couple of times so far and the kids love it. Highly recommend Fststick Boards”
“Firstly, the bag it all comes in is a game changer, plenty of space inside to get it all in and i love the wheels, a lot easier than carrying it if you dont have to! The board it self is nice looking, i haven't tried the inflatable seat on the board yet but looks really comfortable for a bit of lazy paddling, specially if you want to use it in kayak mode. The material feels good quality as well does the paddle. It paddles lovely on the water and feels nice and sturdy over the waves.
The only things i have picked up on thus far is the fins installation, there are two removable side fins and a larger one in the middle. The two side ones slide into place then are locked in with a plastic peg, i feel that the plastic pegs will not outlive the rest of the board, i could be wrong but i have concerns that they will break fairly easily when trying to remove them to pack the board back away. The large fin had a fixed bracket on the back thats slides in to a grove but to fix the front of the fin you have to first slide a square nut into the grove then use a small bolt through the front of the fin to fix it down, this is a bit fiddly, specially if you have cold wet fingers, more so when you remove the fin to pack away. The likelihood of loosing that bolt and square nut is also a concern, as this could easily be done. Other manufacturers have gone a different way about these fixings and i wonder why fatstick havent followed suit?
One other thing, probably more my preference than a fault, we like to take out dogs on the paddle boards, they sit/stand on the front as we do the hard work, on our other brand sup the foam cushion/protection on the top of the board goes from tip to tail more or less where as the fat stick pure art only goes 2/3's - 3/4's of the way, therefore i hope my dog doesn't get a claw through it when jumping off, but that is something i should have picked up on before buying the board.
Overall though it's a lovely board and seem like a good company.”
“Recommend by a paddler on the Hamble River, I took a gamble and bought a Fatstick Pure Art with inflatable chair. Ive wanted to get out on the water for years but young children, busy full time working and a house to renovate put a stop to this for some time. I took the board out for the first time this week and it was everything I was hoping for. Fantastic quality, good looking board and bag, the inflatable chair is superb and gives really good support and enables real confidence in paddling. Many onlookers loved the look of it!! Being out on the water is so uplifting, great for the body and soul. I just can’t wait to get back out there! Thank you Fatstick”
