“As a concept and for heavy chewers I think it’s great. My Yorkie (giant, 6.7kg) is however what we call a “worrier” in that she uses her front teeth to very carefully worry away at any treat or toy. So for us, we did get splinters rather than bits of pulpy wood (not ingested because she was being watched to see how she’d attack this latest chew). For those chewers who use their back gnashers I imagine this works a treat, which is why I’ve scored it 4 stars. For my hound, we’ll stick to the furry rabbit ears and Yak bars (best I’ve found!) which she worries away at to her hearts content!”
