“Contrary to my excellent experience of the service provided by Direct Water Tanks, the quality of this accessory was a let down. The casting was not well machined, leaving internal burrs that impede the water flow. The thread mating between the S60 cap and the tap body is very loose. I presume this is due to the injection moulded thread in the plastic. I needed to use a huge amount of PTFE tape to get a water-tight joint. The biggest disappointment was the flimsy plastic hosetail adaptor, which is so poor that I will not bother watching it fall apart after the first tug on the hose, but will discard and replace with a metal one.”
