Things I like about Denman compared to other brushes I've had: 1. It seems solidly made. I had one of another brand where the part attached to the bristles popped out and I had to pop back into place all the time. 2. The bristles are just one piece, so they're not going to fall apart like so many of the ones I've had do. The little blobs on the end of each bristle would fall off eventually as they're used. Not Denman! 3. Easy to clean. I'm not sure what the materials difference is here, but lint and such that seems to cement itself to some brands just washes off this one. I am curious if all Denman brushes have about the same bristle hardness, though. My previous brush had a lot more give and this is an adjustment - not in a bad way, but I think I might have built in just a tad more bendiness in an ideal world. (It is just a difference in how to deal with knots, in my experience bendier brushes are more forgiving before they get really stuck, but harder bristles are sure to get through all the hair - a trade-off.) I might try a different model next time, but I'm planning to stick with Denman at this point. Really excellent craftsmanship.
