I started Coffee Hit in 2008, when I was always buying cool coffee gear from USA and Australia as it was not availble in the UK. I wanted great coffee for my customers and at home!
I wanted to help cafes and people make great coffee at home. I wanted to show people it didnt need to be expensive and great coffee can be fun and simple.

“A fantastic and simple way to make cold brew. I have spent a long time messing about with different coffee machines and grinders so wanted something a bit easier and straightforward. I use my existing filter coffee grinder, a Wilfa Uniform Coffee Grinder, set it to the most coarse setting and put a 250g bag of beans through it. I use a ratio of coffee and water of 1:5 and steep it in the Toddy for 18hrs unrefrigerated. After that's done, I keep the concentrate in the fridge and it usually lasts about a week. You can use it hot or cold. If it's cold I use 100ml of concentrate with 100ml of Oatly Barista oat milk and 200ml of cold filtered water with some ice thrown in. This will result in smooth coffee with a lot of the acidic notes removed. Coffeehit offered the best price for this as well, it arrived so quickly I didn't actually have any coffee to use, so I can't fault their service!”
