I started Coffee Hit in 2008, when I was always buying cool coffee gear from USA and Australia as it was not availble in the UK. I wanted great coffee for my customers and at home!
I wanted to help cafes and people make great coffee at home. I wanted to show people it didnt need to be expensive and great coffee can be fun and simple.

“This is an awesome piece of metal! So heavy and smoith and precise. Hadn't really believed a pro tamper would make so much difference, but after years struggling with an ill-fitting free plastic tamper, the Rhino is like magic - it fits so perfectly it needs only the lightest press to make a perfect puck. “I found the stock tamper was leaving some coffee grinds on the sides of the basket on my new Dual Boiler. This is just that tiny bit wider and fits perfectly, leaving the sides clean. For the money, it’s just a bargain.”

“This was the least expensive 58.4mm tamper I could find, but I was very pleasantly surprised. It's a really decent weight, looks good, and a lovely tight fit for the filter I'm using. So I don't know why you would pay more!”

“Having recently treated myself to a Rocket espresso machine I was pleased with the quality of "free" tamper that came with it. However, I generally found that I was getting more grounds on the side of the basket than I liked, requiring a tap (not always good for the puck). I measured and found the basket was better suited to a slightly larger tamper, this being a perfect fit at 58.4mm. Not only is it a better fit, but very comfortable in the hand and a really nice weight. The base is so beautifully polished you can feel the smoothness on the tamping spin, just lovely.
