I started Coffee Hit in 2008, when I was always buying cool coffee gear from USA and Australia as it was not availble in the UK. I wanted great coffee for my customers and at home!
I wanted to help cafes and people make great coffee at home. I wanted to show people it didnt need to be expensive and great coffee can be fun and simple.

“I upgraded from a Wilfa Svart Aroma grinder. I'm convinced the Ode 2 has noticeably improved the flavour of coffee I get from my Moccamaster coffee maker. More complexity and interest of flavour. It grinds faster, and more quietly, with virtually no static issues. The design is a matter of taste, sure, but for me it looks great in my kitchen. I'm very pleased with my purchase.”

“Small and neat for what it does. Easy to use. Clean to use. Coffee tastes good. A good option for someone space and budget conscious I think, but who still wants tasty coffee.”

“Very happy that I finally made the jump to the Ode Gen 2. Previously using a Sage SmartGrinder but decided to upgrade to a good filter only grinder and I can definitely taste the difference! More clarity in the cup with Aeropress and pourovers, very aesthetic design and great user experience. Highly recommend!”

“Firstly, if you want a review from an expert, go to YouTube. I particularly enjoyed James Hoffman’s reviews. Looking with the naked eye, the grinds are really consistent. I’ve also noticed the coffee tastes better than before. It is remarkably quiet. I’m glad, because that is one of the major reasons why I bought it. It is also really quick. It is true that sometimes it carries on after finishing grinding. But you can switch off the grinder whenever you like by pressing the button again. It also makes almost no noise if it is carrying on after grinding through the coffee, so I’m not sure why some people complain about that. Lots of the YouTube reviews complain about the metal fins in the collection cup. I disagree. It makes it easy to accurately tip it where it needs to go. I leave less mess than before which has made the grinder very popular with my partner. She is not a coffee drinker and did not like the coffee mud that my previous grinder left behind. It is a thing of beauty, it is really quiet and it makes really good ground coffee. I am delighted with it. You would not believe how much quieter it is than the grinder I had bought for £60 from a well-known online retailer. The only drawback for me is that you can turn it on when the cup isn’t there. In my bleary-eyed mornings I’ve done that twice so far. Grinds everywhere. But that’s my fault, not the machines!”
