About Coffee Hit Ltd:

I started Coffee Hit in 2008, when I was always buying cool coffee gear from USA and Australia as it was not availble in the UK. I wanted great coffee for my customers and at home!
I wanted to help cafes and people make great coffee at home. I wanted to show people it didnt need to be expensive and great coffee can be fun and simple.

But if your like me you like to geek out a bit and we also have some really cool coffee brewing gear for my fellow coffee geeks.

We have the solutions for you to make great coffee at home or in the cafe.

Enjoy!

Firstly, if you want a review from an expert, go to YouTube. I particularly enjoyed James Hoffman’s reviews. Looking with the naked eye, the grinds are really consistent. I’ve also noticed the coffee tastes better than before. It is remarkably quiet. I’m glad, because that is one of the major reasons why I bought it. It is also really quick. It is true that sometimes it carries on after finishing grinding. But you can switch off the grinder whenever you like by pressing the button again. It also makes almost no noise if it is carrying on after grinding through the coffee, so I’m not sure why some people complain about that. Lots of the YouTube reviews complain about the metal fins in the collection cup. I disagree. It makes it easy to accurately tip it where it needs to go. I leave less mess than before which has made the grinder very popular with my partner. She is not a coffee drinker and did not like the coffee mud that my previous grinder left behind. It is a thing of beauty, it is really quiet and it makes really good ground coffee. I am delighted with it. You would not believe how much quieter it is than the grinder I had bought for £60 from a well-known online retailer. The only drawback for me is that you can turn it on when the cup isn’t there. In my bleary-eyed mornings I’ve done that twice so far. Grinds everywhere. But that’s my fault, not the machines!

This is a very good grinder and a considerable upgrade on the Wilfa Uniform I had previously. Why? It is quieter, quicker, more reliable (in particular does not jam), has a small footprint, and lastly but rather importantly makes excellent tasting coffee. I am a bit sceptical on the price point, because I think if Fellow didn’t have a load of Gen1 grinders in their warehouses, the price would be lower - so you’re paying a premium for this upgrade because of their stock situation. However, on balance this is a price I’m happy to pay for this excellent machine. I’ve posted a short video below with some of the rather cool features of the grinder.

Excellent grinder, far superior to the Wilfa Svart which I owned previously. Love the grind quality and lack of static.
