About Coffee Hit Ltd:

I started Coffee Hit in 2008, when I was always buying cool coffee gear from USA and Australia as it was not availble in the UK. I wanted great coffee for my customers and at home!
I wanted to help cafes and people make great coffee at home. I wanted to show people it didnt need to be expensive and great coffee can be fun and simple.

But if your like me you like to geek out a bit and we also have some really cool coffee brewing gear for my fellow coffee geeks.

We have the solutions for you to make great coffee at home or in the cafe.

Enjoy!

Bought this as I needed to replace an old grinder and also to be able to gring fine enough for a pre millenium La Pavoni. Really happy with overall results. My only bugbear is the retention of grounds and i have to use the hopper lid as a bellows to flush out the grinder. this would not put me off purchasing again but worth knowing.

Does the job, except leaving a little retention after every grind, however a decent grinder for its price

Very Happy with my purchase. I have upgraded my grinder to the Opus Burr and completely happy. I was Interested in the Ode when it came out but could not justify the price of that one. When the Opus dropped I got really excited and after watching every clip and reviews on you tube, I went for it. Some of the reviews say it feels cheaply made and plasticy but I do not feel that at all, yes it is plastic but don’t feel it lacks quality for the price point. Grinds well and I have managed to dial it in to remove some bitter taste from my coffee after being able to adjust the grind a little courser. The magnet works a treat. Noise level ok. Can adjust the grind time by a double push of the button to ensure nothing is left in the hopper. It does leave some fines in the burrs but a little tap seems to drop them in the container. Be nice if it had a knocker like the Ode. If it is as reliable as Fellow say this is going to be an awesome purchase. There was no need for me to spend more on the Ode for my use as a weekend warrior. Coffee Hitt were awesome quick delivery and clear on stock levels. 100% recommend this purchase if you are looking for a decent grinder at this price point.

Excellent grinder. Just needs a couple of taps on the top after each grind to extract what’s stuck and avoid messiness. Much better than plastic burr grinders I tried at much lower cost and certainly less messier and less noisier. Certainly worth the price and I’m glad I caught it a Black Friday deal offer. Quick delivery too.

It's a huge step up from my old budget grinder. Enjoying it very much. Not perfect though the grind size dial rocks between notches. But for the price I'm very happy.

The grinder is excellent and has made some good espresso. Pros - well engineered with things like magnets to keep the catch cup in place, hopper lid has grind setting details, nice design, grinding mechanism is better than my previous Baratza Virtuoso for espresso. Cons - the build quality of the plastic isn't great, some parts feel cheap. It can be messy before you get used to it as some residual grinds fall out after you take out the catch cup. You can fix most of this by giving the machine a bit of a shake or knock when you've finished. It's more of a 4.5 out of 5 for me but incredible value and the great engineering means I'm very happy with it

Very good, a lot of static though so a spray of the beans before grinding is needed
